MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming X Slim 12G Graphics Card
MSI has unveiled a new model of its custom GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics cards at Computex 2023: the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming X Slim 12G. This card features a slimmer design than the other MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti models, but still delivers the same performance and features.
The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming X Slim 12G is based on Nvidiaās Ampere architecture and comes with 12GB of GDDR6X memory. It has a boost clock of 1770 MHz, which is identical to the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming X Trio 12G. The card also has the same display outputs, consisting of three DisplayPort 1.4a ports and one HDMI 2.1a port.
The main difference between the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming X Slim 12G and the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming X Trio 12G is the size and cooling system. The Slim version has a 2.2-slot design, which is slightly thinner than the Trio versionās 2.5-slot design. The Slim version also has a new shroud with reversed claw marks and a single 16-pin power connector.
The card uses MSIās Tri Frozr 3 cooling system, which consists of three Torx 5.0 fans that are tilted at a 22-degree angle to increase airflow by up to 23% compared to conventional axial fans. The card also has a metal backplate for extra rigidity and heat dissipation.
MSI has not announced the pricing or availability of the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming X Slim 12G yet, but it is expected to be cheaper than the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming X Trio 12G, which retails for $899. MSI also said that it will launch slim versions of the GeForce RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 cards later this year.
